As a professional agency however there are a few things that frustrate – printers that have changed their name to print and design and back-bedroom “designers” – neither of which have sufficient strategic skill or experience to properly support clients communication needs rank high among them. However when a British Government website in support of business start-ups has 4 tips, one of which is “create a logo” – as if that is all there is to a corporate identity, perhaps the “noddys” of our industry are on to something. But it get’s worse. When clicking on the link, it takes the user to an American site where “logos” are offered from $295. Not the best support for an industry that is supposed to be so important to the developing knowledge based UK economy.
